Choosing the proper CRS software is confusing at best.  Most of the current CRS software is based on PowerPoint style lectures.  The CRS questions are either integrated into a regular PowerPoint slide or the software's proprietary slide and then the responses can be graphically displayed in a variety of formats on the very next slide.  See below for sample software toolbars.
